Arya Gurukul Group of Schools and Education Today Foundation organized Amrut 2022 – a mega-event highlighting the implications of the New Education Policy. The event also recognised the people who made remarkable contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held on 9 April 2022 at Acharya Prahlad Keshav Atre Rangmandir, Kalyan and had expert speakers throw light on the topic.
National Education Policy will promote human values says Padmashree awardee Dr. Jitendra Singh Shunty
This event also honoured several eminent public figures with the ‘ETF Lifetime Achievement’ and ‘ETF HumanE’ awards, for their contributions in their respective fields. A special guest present at the event was Padmashree awardee, Dr. Jitendra Singh Shunty; who presented the awards to the various awardees.
The recipients of this honourable award were Dr. MM Pal Singh Goldi, Chairman of Citylife Foundation; Dr. Vinda Bhuskute, Director Sanyukta Mahila Mandal; Dr. Oommen David, Director, Trinity Education trust; Shri. Bhashir Shaikh, Sr. Poilice Inspector, Kolsewadi, Kalyan; Dr. Naresh Chandra, Director BK Birla College, Kalyan. The HumanE awards was presented to Vinita Bhujbal, Nurse; Sanjay Desale, Ambulance driver; Jotjeet Singh, Disaster Management; Manish Pal, Shahid Bhagat Singh Seva Dal; the Covid warriors who served selflessly to the society.
“We are physically meeting for the ETF awards function after 2 years. It is a great pleasure to honour the personalities who have contributed positively to the society and touched the lives of many during the pandemic. We are honouring them today with the ETF Lifetime Achievement Award and ETF HumanE”, says Mr. Bharat Malik, Secretary, Education today Foundation.
In order to make the parent community aware of the implications of the National Education Policy a panel discussion with experts from different parts of the country was organised.
“The discussion enabled all the stakeholders to understand their role in the changing education scenario and to see the great impact it will create on the future generations.” says Dr. Neelam Malik, President of Education Today Foundation.
Expert speakers who shared their views at the event were Dr. Neelam Malik- Director AryaGlobal, Dr. Reeta Sonawat- Director Ampersand and Dr. Amit Chandra- Policy Fellow, Centre for Civil Society. The event was moderated by Shri. Rajeev Garg, Principal, Datta Meghe World Academy.
